Start Your Own Young Horse

With Expert Supervision from GAVIN MORISON

The start is everything! Gavin is undoubtedly one of the best young horse starters in the country. You will learn how to prepare the horse for the saddle and the rider, how to handle those young horse 'moments' and most of all how to stay out of trouble and get a good thing going with your youngster.

Also ideal for restarts or green horses - just make like you are starting over.

Gavin professionally starts horses for a living. Racehorses, sport horses, all sorts of horses. He is so good at it that he never needs to advertise. People queue up to have him start their horse! His calm, quiet approach means the starting process is easy for the horse and a pleasure to watch!

If you don't have a young horse to start, come along and watch. No need to worry about the weather. Isola is a fabulous equestrian facility with Indoor and Outdoor Arenas, just a few kilometres from Waiuku.

Tea/Coffee and Bikkies will be available. Bring your own lunch, chair for outdoors and comfy cushion for indoors. BBQ on Saturday Evening (BYO food and drinks).

Horse and Rider Accommodation at Isola Bunkhouse (not including linen/blankets or food)
- $20 per night per person.
- Camping $10 per vehicle per night.
- Day parking only $3 truck, $2 cars
- Stables: $10 per horse per day only, $15 day/night
- Large Yards (4) $10 day/night
- Pens: $5 per day
- Grazing $ (Bring tape & standards)
